The Department of Safety and Security provides Dartmouth College with professional safety and security services that include incident response, investigation, and follow up of all security related matters that come to our attention. The Department of Safety and Security engages the community via education, information sharing and training programs.

Government and Community Relations are managed through the office of the President at Dartmouth. The Government and Community Relations teams facilitate relationships with the Congressional delegation for Dartmouth’s faculty, students, and staff and serve as a resource to elected officials and representatives of federal agencies. The team collaborates with other universities and educational associations to advance national goals to critical research universities, including policies and funding that affect research, student financial aid, immigration and philanthropic giving.

The Office of Human Resources at Dartmouth College provides assistance and resources to faculty, staff, retirees, and prospective employees.

The Office of Human Resources supports the campus’ effort to recruit, develop, and retain employees, coordinate and oversee employment policies and procedures, administer employee benefits, and provide opportunities for professional development.

The Office of Human Resources provides a number of services including: HR consultants, a benefits office, individual financial counseling sessions, and recruitment services.

The Board of Trustees is granted final authority under the original Charter of Dartmouth College to establish such ". . . ordinances, order and laws as may tend to the good and wholesome government of the said College . . ." Other statutory functions of the Board include the appointment of faculty and principal administrative officers, the purchase and disposition of real property, the establishment of salary scales, and the awarding of degrees. In short, the Board of Trustees has ultimate responsibility for the financial, administrative and academic affairs of the College.

The Office of Integrity and Compliance serves to provide all members of the Dartmouth community with the resources and guidance needed to uphold and demonstrate the core values of integrity, quality, trust, openness, diversity, inclusion, and respect in everything we do.

The Office of Labor Relations (OLR) is responsible for all labor relations matters at Dartmouth. The OLR is responsible for collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration and enforcement, managing the grievance and arbitration process, responding to information requests, delivering labor-management education for Dartmouth leadership and managers of both unionized and non-unionized employees, and partnering with the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) on labor-related legal matters. The OLR also reinforces strong labor-management working relationships with the unions at Dartmouth. The OLR provides guidance on employment policies and workplace issues for both unionized and non-unionized staff, partnering with OGC on employment-related legal matters.
